Saints Nation Poll: Fans have spoken, Willie Roaf is the best 1st round pick of all time

With 49% of the vote, future Hall of Fame left offensive tackle William Roaf was selected by Saints fans as the best all time 1st round draft choice by the Saints. Deuce McAllister came in a distant second with 23% of the vote, while Archie Manning rounded out the top 3 with 8% of the vote. Roaf played 9 seasons with the Saints, making the Pro Bowl in 7 seasons. He also played 4 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs and made the Pro Bowl in each of those years. No Saint has ever duplicated that number of trips and he holds the all time team record at 7. Roaf, once a Louisiana Tech college player, left New Orleans under less than ideal terms; but it is undeniable that he was the most performant player in team history and was the face of the franchise for a long time. My memories of Roaf are all positive and it was a blessing to count him as a Saint every Sunday.

Thanks for voting and please participate in the new Saints Nation Poll: Who is the best defensive back in Saints history?
