Saints Nation: Darren Sharper anyone?

What a pickup that guy has been so far. 5 interceptions in 4 games? Are you kidding me? That's almost unheard of. That, by the way, tops the entire league. Only 3 other guys have 3 int's (Charles Woodson, Aqib Talib, and Michael Huff). He's also the only guy in the league who's run 2 back for touchdowns. Just officially give him his Pro Bowl invite already. Do you guys remember having Josh Bullocks and Kevin Kaesviharn back there? In just 4 games Sharper has made them feel like a bad dream and nothing more. Sharper is making a case for being the best Saints' free agent pickup not named Drew Brees in the Sean Payton era. Sharper is a perfect fit for this defensive scheme as it allows him the flexibility to be a ballhawk and play how he wants. He has such a knack for the game and has tremendous anticipation - the kind that only a few people every decade are blessed with. He is so good he makes it look easy when it's anything but easy. Hard to believe that this offseason the guy couldn't hardly find anyone to sign him and settled for a low ball contract offer from the Saints. He was apparently offered more by a few other teams but felt the Saints gave him the best chance to win. The Saints were in no hurry to ink this guy, either, despite being desperate all offseason to upgrade their poor performing defense. Turns out he was the missing piece. I say re-work his deal NOW and pay the man for his production.
